How much smaller will my PDF get?
It depends on the file. PDFs exported from design tools (Figma, Sketch, Canva) with large lossless images often shrink by 80-95%. Files whose images are already efficiently compressed will shrink less.
Will text stay sharp and selectable?
Yes. Only images are recompressed. Text, fonts and vector graphics are left untouched, so they stay razor sharp and fully selectable at any zoom level.
Is there a file size limit?
Files up to 500 MB are supported. Because processing happens on your device, very large files simply take a little longer depending on your hardware.

The engine measures the size at which every image is actually displayed on the page, downscales oversized images to what is really needed, converts them to efficient JPEG encoding (transparency masks included), removes duplicates and rewrites the PDF with garbage collection.
